Watching Top Gear last night made me realise something. I want a scooter. One of those little 50cc jobbies that's easy to learn to ride and doesn't go at scary speeds. Just enough to get me from here to there and back again, on very little fuel and with storage space in the seat. Mostly for after Uni, but it would be good to have one before then so I can tell potential employers that I have my own transport. I really didn't enjoy learning to drive a car, and, honestly, I never wanted to learn to drive a car. I think a scooter would suit me much better, and it's a good way of getting more confident on the roads before moving up. I can even putter about with L plates on pracically forever, since I only need CBT to ride around on it, rather than passing the test.

We now have a bike magazine, since the internet was not doing well enough. I want something that looks vaguely like one of those old-skool Vespas, and nothing like a motorbike. Maybe in pink...

The contests are fairly well controlled, despite how close they may appear &mdash you'll notice that Clarkson always wins against Hammond and May, but always loses to human effort like marathon runners or rock climbers. Which is the best, most feelgood result for the majority of viewers, but does result in things like Clarkson having to stop to pay the congestion charge, or May having to do preflight checks.
