25/8/05 07:14 pmI'm having it all shipped here, so I'm hoping the shipping times are right, otherwise it's going to turn up after I go back to York. I still can't get Sins of Youth, since the only seller here is now £59 (it's actually gone down!) and the only american seller, who is much cheaper, doesn't ship overseas. Still, i'm getting Reckless Youth and the DC/Marvel crossover (featuring Wolverine nicking the batmobile, which, frankly, is the main reason I'm buying it). Soon I shall have shiny things to read!
I've also bought the special edition Cowboy Bebop box set, since it works out cheaper than buying the volumes I haven't got yet (which are the English editions and lack decent extras anyway), and I can sell the first two (three? I can't remember how many I've got!) volumes. This set should also come with the soundtrack on a CD, which is cool. It's region 1, but I can watch it on the laptop with VLC and I'm sure we'll work out how to regionhack the PS2 some day. Same goes for the Weiss Kreuz box set. Look at me with all my shiny legal anime! Next time I splash out it will be R.O.D. (so pretty!) and Fruits Basket.
So, yeah, if anyone wants the first few volumes of Cowboy Bebop, region 2, I figure maybe £10 each? They cost £20 to buy, and have probably only been watched once, but they do lack all the shiny extras the American editions come with. Still, it's a gorgeous anime with a great soundtrack, and if you haven't seen it I thoroughly reccomend it.
Thinking about it, when I get back to York I'll probably do a bit of a clear out. I've got a variety of comics and DVDs I ought to get rid off, generally because I've ended up with two copies, or I didn't enjoy whatever it was as much as I thought I would.
