First, Chloe and I were in a room much like my room here, making a collage for Russel T Davies' birthday. I've forgotten the main theme, but I remember not wanting him to think that was all it was about, so we turned it over and stuch Daleks (one old type, one new) and some QAFUK pictures on it.

Then I realised - oh no! - that the wedding was at one, not that we were leaving at one. I had to run around and I didn't have any white clothes. I ended up in black trousers and a white blouse. I told Chloe to finish the collage, but not to post it, since I wanted to check it over when I got back.

Ran outside, got into a taxi with Sophie and her dad. Sophie being my bride-to-be.

We got to the shopping centre, and I realised this was just a rehearsal. I'm not sure if the rehearsal ever actually took place. Anyway, I realised the wedding was the very next day, and I had no dress and no ring and no something else that I was willing to spend roughly £100 on. Sophie mentioned something about her getting cold feet.

So we wewnt shopping, and I'm not sure if I bought it, but the dress I was going to get married in was one I sketched years and years ago with silver cabbage roses on it. I don't think I bought the ring at all. Someone asked about us getting married, and I mentioned I'd known her since we were four.

Eventually, I backed out altogether, probably to the relief of both of us. This is the second time I've dreamt about getting cold feet recently. First one was four months prior to the wedding, though, on the basis that I barely knew my husband-to-be. Also, there was flooding.

Sophie is in another country now, doing the gap year thing. Hope she's having fun.

Also last night, was randomly possessed with urge to stretch leg out. Resulted in screaming pain. Sat up nad dug infgers into is hissing loudly for several seconds. It's still all crampt now. What is it you're not getting enough of it you get random cramps in your sleep (I was awake, but I've had them in my sleep before) like that?

Back to essay today. Found out yesterday that all these essays were meant to be 1500-2000 words, not 2500. Even after only two essays, the former suddenly seems tiny. I kinda stopped at 700 words yesterday as a result. I got disheartened when I found myself editting bits out before I even finished the damn thing. Completely blagged my way through the seminar (I was doodling when he was reading an extract out, and he called me on it by suggesting I'd been taking notes, and I bluffed it through), and impressed with others who did the same. Thursday is going tobe even stranger. Do I care? Nu-uh. I've got the same tutor next term, along with a bunch of people I know. Romantic era. Trying to play second guess the booklist now.

Doesn't sound like yesterday was much fun.

Meh, not bad, not good. Wrote Greenhelm, did magazine design, watched TV. Still poking at essay and wondering if I can 'forget' about the new word limit ^_^

Forgetting seems like a dangerous scheme since they sent the angry angry e-mail to all you naughty english students unlike us good little philosophy students (who don't understand enough to reach the word limit!)

heh, true. But we did have this debate about including titles and bibliographies and stuff. I seriously doubt your meant to include the bibliography on your word count.

I'm in your seminar group next term, I just checked the board. Unfortunately, so are some people I've been with for the past two terms, one of whom is particularly annoying.

We've also got Dan and someone else from my group this term. This terms seminar group don't seem to have made much impression on me, but I've been the same groups as Dan for the past two terms, and he's a good laugh. Always seems to have a different opinion to the tutor, and isn't afraid to announce it with no support whatsoever.

Cramps are either a result of a lack of exercise or are a lack of salt. Since it sounds like the cramp was in your leg, and I assume you use those for walking and stuff, I'd tentativly suggest the salt.

Not enough salt? Wow. I was told once you ought to be able to get your daily allowance of that just from food, without adding salt, but I guess I'm not eating the right junk! ...I don't think I own any salt.

Its all to do with nerves and muscle fibres. Nerves need Potassium and Sodium to function: if there's a deficiency of one or the other they don't do what they should, hence the cramps. Normal salt is all sodium, so maybe its the potassium; trying eating a few bannas if you don't already.
Of course I may be way of the mark with all this, but as far as I know its the most likely explanation.

I could well be lack of potassium, actually. I haven't had a banana in aaages. Of course, my diet's probably lacking in all sorts of things. I keep dropping carbohydrates altogether for meals at a time, and then having chocolate instead.

The cramping leg muscles in my sleep thing only happens when I change the level of exercise I do, like when I excercise a lot if I've been inactive for a week or so, or if I stop being active when I've been on my bike every day. I think it's my muscles complaining that they want some kind of consistency in their life :P

heh. I don't think mine can complain about going from no exercise to no exercise. Maybe I actually should start to exercise!

What is it you're not getting enough of it you get random cramps
1. Potassium
2. Water
3. Giving your muscles time to adjust to exertion. I.e., if you're going to be doing a lot of something (even lots of walking can cause leg cramps), make sure to start slow and do a few stretches before, and cool down and do a few stretches after.
Good luck. :)

Current forerunner: potassium. Unless walking around my bedroom has suddenly become exertion!

There actually plenty of carbs in chocolate so I don't think your missing out on much there. Protiens are an importnat thing that get missed out, as my poverty induced vegetarianism has proved in the past.
