14/2/05 03:04 pmI seem to have bought a watercolour set...
Went out, failed to find the comic I wanted (because, as I told Chris, being frugal this week may apply to food, but it doesn't to comics) I wandered into a book store, to be confronted by a large amount of art supplies. And damned if my oil pastels and my sister's watercolours aren't all hte way back home, and damned if I haven't been listening to Central Reservation too much recently and as always want to illustrate it.
I also bought to collections of horror stories, and some chocolate. It's amusing buying chocolate for yourself on Valentine's day. I was tempted to get some flowers, since they were very pretty and so many people in town had bunches, but I figured they'll be cheaper tomorrow and I don't even own a vase, so if I do get around to buying some tomorrow they'll die pretty quick anyway.
Next week, perhaps. Right now, it's time to attack the watercolours (which I will probably only use twice, but they were only £5) and continue to ignore the fact that reading week implies reading, unless it's the copy og Jekyll and Hyde I just bought.
Edit to add the chocolates and flowers comments were in no way meant to be a slight against Chris! I just happened to walk past both Thortons and lots of flower stalls. And also, just got the sweetest email from Tor in the world. Thank you so much, Tor. Oh, and I'm making all kinds of messy blobs with these water colours that look nothing like the pencil outline I started with!
