One of the CD's a bought today was The Celtic Chillout Album. I admit, I mostsly bought it because it was £2.99, but the seller was the fact it has 'Scarborough Fair'. As it turns out, none of the tracks have any singing, even the traditional folk songs, which is a pity, but it's still gorgeous music. Anyway, as a result I went and looked up the lyrics.

Reading them, I was amused. No wonder she 'once was a true love' and isn't any more. He's being a contrary bastard! She's going to remember him and go "Oh, yeah, that guy. God, I was an idiot when I was younger."


(I'm bored, okay? I'm not hungry, so there's no point making dinner, and there's nothing on TV or online. I'm killing time til writing soc. Entertain me?)

I'm much the same, when I sing. I made the sixth formers laugh at me when I auditioned for the year seven panto. But I was really that bad, so I found it funny too. Happy Birthday is actually quite hard to sing right on your own, because without a group it's hard to remember where all the notes are. That's my excuse, anyway!
