I had an Office 2000 disk in my bag, and I thought I'd install it. Turns out the reason i hadn't previously is because it's an expired beta version. This means I have all of Office installed but unusuable, and now I've lost word as well. I had Word from the other computer, but it needed validating, and it couldn't get around the proxy server. So I really am stuck with Works now. I'm going to try downloading all the updates from microsoft to see if it helps, but I doubt it will.
And I still can't get the FTP or MSN around the proxy server.
