23/11/04 10:00 pmFinished the essay! A whole eighteen hours before the deadline ^_^ Makes a change from twenty minutes. Ended up something like 700 words over the limit, which was a bit scary. but then, I spent most of today and yestereday writing bollocks, so it wasn't hard to trim. Now, if only I can get back into this general writing habit. I have lists of ideas. Plus I have a fix-exchange things due for 6/12 (they pushed the deadline back, which was very very helpful). Exchange person basically wrote the plot for me. I find myself wondering if they wouldn't rather have written it themself, because god know it's going to be nothing how they imagined. Much love for diaries-as-homework plot cliche though. I think I've kept it vaguely original.
Chris said he might drop by and see me at work tomorrow - he needs to get a Christmas present for his girlfriend, and very small things are cute. This whole Christsmas thing is getting stupidly close. I'm actually going to have to start buying stuff for other people!
Cinematography social tomorrow, which I might actually go to. It'd be useful to actually, you know, meet people in that society. All I do at the moment is turn up to meetings. Western theme, may end up at Ziggy's, which I haven't been to yet. Thought I wasn't going to be able to go because of 'Titus' screening I'm meant to go to, but I'm at work then anyway. Just have to figure out how to get videos out of the library I guess - I've got another one I ought to rent too. Oh, turns out there's a Yor:Mag social... ah, I'm on the design team. It's not like I even turn up to meetings. I just get illegally copied design software and a handful of pages to layout. Yay for free expensive software ^_^
Next priority - fix FTP! I swear, I don't have a firewall on my laptop (which is kinda worrying...), and I can't get into two different servers, so it's their problem, and I'd like them to fix it. I just have to get around to telling them this. Which I won't tomorrow, since I'm at work! Prevarication is the key.
