4/9/04 10:33 amI'm still not used to these hormones things. Starting crying yesterday talking about banks. Banks. Mum was snappy because she's had a shit day, which didn't help, but as usual I didn't feel upset. I never do. I just end up grizzling like a small child and striving to keep my voice level so people realise I am still rational, even though I really don't look it. Seriously though, banks?
They've started work on the shelter across the road again. The faux station shelter. Haven't worked on it all week, but as mum pointed out they're probably getting overtime for working at the weekend.
Yesterday, i spent yet more money. My plan of saving at least half this paychecl is getting periously close. ON the other hand, two pairs of ubercool boots and Geroge Romero's Trilogy of the Dead for a grand total of about £60. And considering when Chloe wanted a pair of basically the same boots, they would have cost her £80. And anyway, zombie movies!! I haven't wanted that set for sooo long. Watched Night of the Living Dead yesterday. Read all this spiel about how it broke the formulaes by actually shoving the violence, rather than cutting away or using shadows. Except, well, it does both, but yes it is definitely way more gory than most films of the era. And the music is so sixties it rules. It's got that 'bad stuff is going to happen in three, two, one...' edge to it. I'd love the soundtrack. Anyway, I'll watch the next pone today, and revel in my new boots at hte same time. And also ring shops up in York to see if they've got any vacancies. I figure I'll be being way more proactive than any other students who already work for Arcadia.
