28/8/04 10:36 amI'm lightly relieved that I can still write when i put my mind to it. I tried at work, sice I had two hours basically on my own, but all that came out were half the lyrics to 'yesterday', a bit of a conversation, a first line and the days I'm working next week. Heh. And I finally got paid, but after hearing how much
almighty_frog got £400 seems so little. But then, sh's working 9-5 five days a week, while I'm doing maybe 12 hours a week in total.
Anyway, writing, yes. After going over to Roz's the other day, and talking about films they were planning to make at 1AM, I remembered I had a film plot tucked away in a notebook. So I dug it out, fiddled with it to straighten bits out, wrote various things like character bios and ideas for how to do special effects, and sent it to her. And now I'm working on the script, just because I can and it's being surprisingly easy. I have a suspicion it's going to be a very short script, but if I manage to come up with a subplot it'll stop looking like an episode of Buffy and hopefully being more like a movie. Hell, if I've already worked out half teh sequel I really ought to get this done, right? And if Roz and Ben don't want it I'll find some film students at university or something. Or just leave it as a script and be proud of it that way ^_^
( the pitch )
So i got a little carried away with the whole imagining it was going to be a real film, and worked out how to pitch it to a corporation. It's actually a really poor pitch, looking at it. Let's face it, the whole plot is pretty thin. But hey, insane vampires! And My sister wants to play the goth girl, and there's a role in the sequel that would be perfect for
almighty_frog (so far it just calls for cleavage and looking a bit pissed off).
Really, really getting far too carried away with this.
There's someone outside the window giggling like a hyeana. And that's not a simile. Actual hyeana noises.
