Ankle still busted. Oh well.

Hurts a bit, I guess, but I have a high pain tolerance for anything that goes on (except headaches, but I never let those go on). School trip to Wales when i was eleven, fell down the stairs in the boarding house on hte first night and bdly sprained my ankle. Went on to walk up a mountain, through a steel works, down a mine and through some caves. Got home, told mum about sprained ankle. Got told I couldn't possibly walk if I sprained my akle; it would be hte size of a football. Took shoe off "You're ankle's the size of a football! How can you walk?"

I tell that story way too often. Suffice to say, I'll dig out an ankle support at some point and ignore it until it goes away. It's actually swollen a bit now. Heh.

"Please provide a DNA Sample. Please spit, bleed or ejaculate into the box. Continue on a spereate sheet if required."

From Social Scrutiny.org Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

So, ankle was okay today. SAtanding still for a long time made it ache for a bit, since that's normally the leg I put my weight on, but it was okay. I did balls up a transaction at hte till though. Really balls up. Cock up, even. But I don't think I swore in front of the customers, which is okay. Basically, I forgot to give them their change.

Debenhams solution: call a member of staff over to unlock the till

My solution: reutrn the goods, resell them and give change second time around.

I swear, it wasn't a bad plan. Only, I accidentally only returned the jeans and resold them the top, which meant according the system I hadn't sold the jeans at all and sold the top twice. Gave them their change, anyway. Served customers. Realised problem with not selling the jeans at all and used the receipts they'd kindly left me to sell them again. Served customers. Realised had to return one of the tops (preferably the non-existant one ^_^ ). Started, paused to serve customer, found I'd left the till draw wide open. Oops. Anyway, fixed it all. Had to explain to various pople I'd sorted it out (incoherently). And we even had a balance at the endof the day, which proves I sorted it out.

So glad I'm not working again til Friday. 9-1, must remember. Oh, and Chloe came in today and bought a helicopter paddling pool, and she now wants to have a pool party ^_^
