We're getting Broadband. See how unexcited I am by this. Why? Because it's AOL broadband. Of all hte possible companies, that was the lsat one I would have chosen. Mum was just worried about keeping her email address. I told her, repeatedly, that she wouldn't lose her email, al she had to do was go to www.aol.co.uk and click on mail, but she seems to forget that mere seconds after my detailed explanation. aol charges you for hte time you're online, which I find a little odd because I thought Broadband meant you were online all the time, as well as doubling the monthly cost. And it's AOL for god's sake! Is it likely to be significatnly faster? Well, faster than AOL, but considerably sower than any other broadband company. Is it likely to work on a regular basis? I think we can safely say no. Is there actually any point in getting broadband at all? Really, no. Faster downloading, but I'm the only one who downloads; can go on phone at the same time, but we can already do that with multiple phonelines; not much else really. It's good for me and downloading stuff, but since AOL has an auto log off after half an hour, rather than spending 25 hours at the computer, I'll have to spend a mere 5, to get an uninterrupted download. And it'll charge me for all of them.

Sigh. I really shouldn't knock it before I try it, but I have a bad feeling about this. AOL is the only server without time restrictions, which is good, but if they charge us local calls for all hte time the computer is switched on, then not going to be impressed.

Can't wait til i get out of this house! Except for the scouting universities with mum. She's going through when all the open days are, and being very persistant. Really not to fussed about how the place looks, to be honest. If I was, i'd be adamant on going to Sussex or Exeter, which I might anyway, if I don't get in to Cambridge. Still, missing chunks of college to explore cities miles away has its perks.

Can you tell I didn't get a great deal of sleep? The people I was babysitting for were supposed to be back at 11. At half 12 i was watching the Canadian Grand prix qualifying, live. So they were somewhat late. Still, have money now, definite plus. yawn.

another femmedelalune update, this time shoving the whole thing into frames. I've found a site that gives free counters, guestbooks, guestmaps, serach engines, forums, chatrooms... so much overhaul. Got another two pages to stick up soonish, but I want a bit more to put on them. Having a bit of trouble wiht the links on the menu, but it seems to have sorted itself out now.

Going to my old school fete today. As in, school I went to when I was four. Still ought to be fun. Had a long discussion baout cloning lst night wiht hte kids I babysit for. They're 8 and 11, I think, and we;re discussing how your DNA for your entire body can be found in every cell. Well, I was discussing that bit, slowly and repeatedly, but they were keen on debating the ethical issues. And this conversation started with talking about films, which led to the S Club 7 movie (haven't seen it, just to be quite clear ^_^ ) and meant I missed the first ten minutes of Friends. Cure kids. Very clever.
