So, we live just down the road from this abandoned railway line. As in I can see it from where I'm sitting. It was bombed during the war, and they took all the track up, but there's still a station and a sign. As part of one of these millenium projects the local council has decided to make it look like a proper station again, with tracks and shelter and so on. So far there's aggreagate along the line and what looks like a breeze block bus shelter on the station.

The shelter isn't finished. Far from. It has no roof or front, just some benches that were on the station already (and have been set fire to multiple times). There's a CCTV camera up to discourage vandals. It's been there maybe a week, two? And a couple's already been caught shagging in it.

I just can't believe they didn't even wait for the roof.
