minervasoloStill on holiday. Still using up ridiculous amounts of money to post this. oh well!
So, the Canaries. God, they're ugly. Why do people go on holiday there? I understand that Tenerife possibly has a nice bit, hidden from the tourists, but otherwise both Tenerife and Lanzarote look like building sites.
Hence, why we went first Dolphin nad Whale watching, and second Submarine dive. ^____^
Hence, I have seen: Bottlenose Dolphins, Roundhead Whales, Barracudas and Stingray bigger than a man. Hee. Also sledged down a mountain. Madiera's better than the Canaries, but the Azores still rule mostest. Sunbathed a whole bunch, of course, and am still off white with random red patches. This whole ship's full of sunjunkies. I'm getting kinda bored of sunbathing, though there's a wonderful picture of one of eth firt day's where I'm white as white. I am so scarily pale.
We have the sweetest waiters, Sandipan and Desmond. Sandipan is from Calcutta, Desmond from Goa. Most of the crew are India/Pakistani/Bangladeshi/Goan/generally from that part of teh world. It's cheap labour, obviously, and you can tell from the sheer amount you're expected to tip at teh end of the cruise, but when I first got on board it immediately reminded me of Captain Nemo's ship in LXG. Very cool.
Got less than fifty pence left, so ttfn until I get back!!
