I'm feeling hideously sick just now. I think it's the lemon tea. I don't know how Harry makes it, but it does tend to make me queasy. Though this is out-of-proportion queasy. I might have a stomach bug.

Milky tea makes me queasy too, but I refuse to believe I'm allergic to tea on the grounds of (a) I'm English and (b) No one's allergic to tea.

Got a review earlier praising me for "the little british thing [I've] got goin' on there." There's a bit of an 'eh?' reaction, because (a) I can't help being British, so it's not exactly something I've got 'goin' on' and (b) The fic is set in Japan. But hey, they liked it, so no real complaint.

Village fete today. Might go, might not. Have a driving lesson. Hopfeully the queasiness will have worn off by then. I woke up at seven. Again. Worst thing about this is when I wake I assume it's got to be at least nine, because I feel so awake, but I hang in bed a bit longer anyway. So when I decide to get up I figure it's got to be getting late. Get up, out of bed, check clock... bugger. And by then I'm too awake to bother going back to bed.

Thoroughly recommend Queen of Wands right now. On absolutely topmost form.

Really, why so sick just now?

I suppose any writings by us Brits, must reek of Britishness, as much as writings by Americans are just so Yankee. Maybe the reviewer thought you were not really British, but trying to sound British, and pulling it off well?

Maybe being English only gives you immunity from allergies to tea made from tea leaves, and not things like lemon tea. Though the only proper way to drink Early Grey tea is with lemon, no milk, no sugar. Hmm, that was rather random.

Actual lemon tea, or just tea made from lemon balm leaves?

Actually, Earl Grey with lemon. Though I also drink it with milk, sometimes. We have actual lemon tea, but we've run out of tea caddies, what with every tea drinker in the house drinking a different type of tea. And if you think Earl Grey with milk is blasphemous, you should see green tea with milk, which is my mother's choice. Not meant to have milk in it, at all, but oh well.

At least none of use take sugar ^_^
