No one warned me the film was sad!! Admittedly, I pretty much knew from the outset they were going to lose, but pretty son of katsumodo (the only one who's name I actually picked up) died, and then everyone died, and it didn't get really sad til Japanese second in commander started crying. And it was awww.

And I have a very bad headache as the result. I blame the run on sentences on that. Dehydration plus not crying causes headache. Oh, plus tiredness. When the ninjas appeared my first thoughts were "Why are the SAS there?" and "I didn't think they had sk-masks then." After a few moments it clicked and the kung-fu film fanatic I didn't know was in me went "Cool! Samurai and ninjas!"

And once more I want to see Troy. It's not an Orlando Bloom thing (though I think Paris was famously pretty, so he's a good choce, though that might have been a later Paris named after the Tojan Paris) but a 'wooo, boats," thing. So many boats. Oh, I should read the Iliad before I see it. Since it doesn't even have a release date yet, I've got time. Apparently the battle is more impressive than the one in RotK, which didn't impress me hugely anyway, in the same way I don't get why everyone found RotK so emotional. Not that sad, surely? Any, boats + boats + obats + boats + a few more shitloads of boats = adrenline rush.

Tired and headachy and my computer is dying a death. The screen is flickering madly and crackling. Just getting into writing as well. Bath instead, I guess.

Given your overriding boat pr0n obsession I am assuming you've seen Master And Commander, which is as gay a film as Top Gun, and much better because a) Tom Cruise isn't in it and b) boats are.

I want to see Troy too. Because there will be men in short skirts. (Watch Derek Jarman's "Sebastiane" for extremely homoerotic men in short skirts, occasional nudity and lots of performance arse).

really want to see Master and Commander, but haven't had a chance yet. It's got hobbits in! Well, a hobbit. And boats. Boats as gay as boats can be. And roman boats even gayer because, as you mention, men in short skirts. No women, but men in skirts.

The doctor in M&C is not only outrageously gay but also effeminate, sarcastic and a big geek. :D
