Trying to fill in Queens form. I'm going to have to go and bug Dave King about how many people are applying to Oxbridge, and find out whether having tea on an essay I want to submit is going to cause a problem ^_^ I can't even remember who spilt the tea, me or the Engish teacher. Hopefully it won't show up in the photocopy. And they won't be able to read Mr Long's writing anyway.

Okay, playing with nasty bit of form. Feel free to ignore.

1 What aspects of the course attraced to you to apply to Cambridge:

- greatest oppurtunity of meeting and learning from practising poets and novelists.
- proud literary heritage, produced many well knownauthors and critics
- oppurtunity to study texts from in other lagnuages, particularly enjoy Latin though lack the necessary qualifications to take a classics degree or joint classic and Eng at Cambridge.

2 I applied to do English at Cambridge in particular because the Faculty of English there is world famous for its literary heritage, having produced many well known authors and critics over the years. I was particularly drawn by the oppurtunity to meet and learn from practising novelists and poets, something not available to the same extent in most other universities. The main aspects of the course that attracted me were the possibilities of submitting original fiction and working on texts in other languages, particularly Latin.

While many Universities offer the chance of learning from practising novelists, critics and poets, few do so to the same extent as Cambridge. Queens itself drew me because of its beautiful library and its situation on the river.

okay, that ought to do it. Ugh, so much minutaie. I've spent most of the afternoon trying to find out the proper names of the Physics modules I did last year. i hadn't realised that basically every course I did was modular, we just took all the exams at once. Dammit, have to go and work out the English bits as well. I'll bug Mr Long on Tuesday. Must remember to buy photocopy card.
