I was supposed to be babysitting until past midnight, but the people I was sitting for got bored of the party they were at, or whatever it was, and came home early. The women then spent a good fifteen minutes trying to talk me out of doing EngLit. That's nice, but didn't you hear the past tense in 'applied'?
