I seem to be one of the only people I know who actually slept through the earthquake! [livejournal.com profile] zombie_thing did too, which is vaguely comforting, but I can't have been asleep for more than half an hour before it happened. I may possibly have dreamt it, but I could just be imaginging it. I did dream about snow, and that my sister lived here and wanted to do her washing (but mine takes precedence, because I need ym uniform for work tomorrow).

Biggest earthquake in this country for 25 years (depending who you ask) and I sleep through it. ::Pouts::

heh - I was still awake, or I might have slept through it too.

Could have been worse. I was walking through town with a group of people and didn't feel a damn thing. I feel a bit cheated.

Lincolnshire, officially, though it seems to have ben felt over a pretty wide area. York (where I am) is complaining mainly about being woken up, but very little structural damage.

Are earthquakes common there? We don't get earthquakes where I'm from--ever.

Also, is it okay if I friend your fic journal?

I lvoe it when people friend the fic journal ^_^

Earthqaukes are really very rare here. We're nowhere near a fault. Earthquakes like this one are about once every twenty years (though there's some debate as to e size of it). The UK misses most of the more dramatic weather and geology. It's nice!

Yay! I've friended you then.

Wisconsin misses most of the dramatic weather and geology too. lol A few tornadoes here and there, but not many.

Still, I've always kinda wanted to be in a minor earthquake. Just to feel the earth shake beneath my feet. That would be intense.
